Farm Conversion Help in the United States
Find a list below of any organization that can help transition your farm and might offer financial and emotional assistance.
Rancher Advocacy Program
The Rancher Advocacy Program is for ranchers and their immediate families and will offer solutions that will assist them with the discernment process of moving towards compassionate choices that will offer sustainable and profitable alliances. They will be presented with optional models for them to make a living, make a difference in the world, and be prosperous in our growing climate of plant-based food options and other innovative solutions to animal agriculture and the health and longevity of the earth.
Transfarmation - a project by Mercy for Animals - believes farmers can and should be part of the change. They know the food and farming system better than anyone, and they are as eager to join in constructing a better food system as are entrepreneurs, activists, and other changemakers. The Project offers an avenue for farmers to participate in this rebuilding, to become a part of the solution and leave the problem behind. Their mission is to support farmers in transitioning out of animal agriculture and into growing crops used for plant-based products.
Miyoko's Creamery & Farm Sanctuary
Miyoko's Creamery, makers of dairy products made 100% from plants, wants to help American farmers by going to the ones who are struggling. They would like to partner with some of those struggling dairy farmers and help them transition to becoming their supply chain, to growing crops for them, such as potatoes. By taking the money out of their marketing budget they would help them transition to a new livelihood. Then they would have an ensured livelihood because they would be a supply chain for Miyoko's.
